New Beginnings
This course is designed for the new believer as well
as anyone new to our church. It helps give the new member an overview
of our church, a foundation upon which to begin their Christian lives
and explains the Charismatic, spirit-filled church experience.
DISCIPLESHIP
TRAINING
Consists of 3 - 13 week courses
Course
#1 - Foundations for Christian Growth
In our first course of study you will be involved in
some in-depth studies of the following areas: The Bible, The Nature
of God, Righteousness, The New Creation, The Baptism of the Holy Spirit,
The Renewed Mind, Freedom from Sin, Faith, Faith's Confession, Faith
& Patience, Healing, and Divine Health.
Course
#2 - God's Plan for Christian Service
In the second course of study, your studies will go
even further into the following subjects: Spiritual Maturity, The
Love Nature, Guidance, The Prayer Life, Praise & Petition, Prayer
Warfare, Prosperity, Spiritual Gifts, Gifts to the Church, Christian
Service, and Evangelism.
During your time in this course, the student will be required to
complete 15 hours of in-service work which may be completed in a variety
of different areas within the church. If you are not a member of Amazing
Grace, your in-service time may be completed in the church of which
you are a member of.
The above two courses consist of a 1-hour lecture and them a 1-hour group discussion.
Course
# - Discipleship Training
(Prerequisite: Courses #1 & 2)
This is the final step in receiving your
Christian
Laymen's Certificate
This
is a course of study that is designed to build a strong base of discipline.
The student will be required to spend a minimum of 1-hour each day of
personal Bible studies with documentation in a journal, 10-hours of
service within specific areas of church ministry, a 10-minute presentation
on an assigned topic, and complete all reading assignments. Materials
covered will be such things as: How to develop leadership skills, How
to delegate authority, What leaders do to be effective, How to Understand
Loyalty and Authority, How to build Character, How to Avoid Fatal Errors
of Leadership, plus much more.
