Amazing Grace welcomed Rev. Peter Rahme.
He is an anointed evangelist from South Africa and blessed us with a powerful teaching on how to
"Compel them to come in".
"We must do everything we can to bring the lost in because Satan is doing everything he can to keep them out!"

God uses people to reach people - that means us! All we have to do is be ourselves, be real and genuine in our faith and God will do the rest. His power must be preached and demonstrated. The same God that anointed Jesus has anointed us.

"We have been appointed, anointed and sent."

Rev. Rahme prophesied to Amazing Grace that God wants to take our church to the next level NOW - not in years, but in weeks!
"Lord we are ready! Send your glory upon us!"

A very special day - we all came together as a church family to be a blessing to our Pastors on their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Pastors Loren and Dorothy have given their hearts and lives to this church and every member in it and we appreciate them so very much!

It was also Father's Day. The morning message was geared towards fathers and the the importance of fatherhood. Pastor Loren went through the qualities of a dad, some of which include:
A burden bearer
A leader
Gives stability & Security
A decision maker for the good of the whole family
Not selfish, nor a dictator

The evening service brought a special message with a special "treat". Pastor Dorothy brought forth a message that included a cooking demonstration. With the help of an assistant, a wonderful batch of brownies were made. The brownie mix = the church.
Each one of us is a different ingredient in the mix.
Each and every ingredient is needed - without one, the mix would be no good.

A time of ministry was also available to all those battling physical symptoms in their bodies. Colds & Flu are not God's idea of divine health and so we rebuke these things off of our lives and the lives of our children.
Praise God for His healing power!

Today was "Promotion Sunday" for our children's ministry. Three of our KIDS church members were promoted to Crossfire Youth and 2 of our nursery members were promoted to KIDS Church. It is an exciting thing to watch our children grow up in the Lord!

As Pastor's message continued on Casualty Covenant, he stressed the importance of what we say in front of our children. Those casualty covenants in our lives can easily be passed down to our children if we are continually speaking the wrong things.

During the evening service, ministry went forth for everyone dealing with spiritual warfare.
Ephes. 6:12 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Pastor Loren also called forth all our youth for prayer. The young people in our society face many temptations and they need God to help them stay strong and full of the wisdom of God. As a church, we are committed to praying for our youth. They are our future!

Pastor Loren's message on Casualty Covenant continues to bring revelation to us all.
Do you have a hard time taming your tongue? According to James 3:6-12 our own tongues can bless us or curse us. The devil would love to see our tongues used for cursing, but being born again through Jesus Christ gives us the power to overcome those cursed covenants. Our tongues should be used for blessing!

There was also a time of ministry to some who were sick in their bodies. Ankles and hearts were touched by God through the laying on of hands.

After service, we all headed to our local park for our annual church picnic. The weather was very nice and everyone had a blast.
Kickball was the sporting event of the day!

Pastor Loren returned to his message on
"Casualty Covenants".
His emphasis was on the bitter fruit of wrong covenants. "Strongholds of bitterness, anger and unforgiveness in our hearts can tempt us into making wrong covenants causing casualties not only in our lives but in the lives of all those around us."

"If my people will come to me, I will fellowship with them like never before. I want to be closer to my people".
That is what Pastor Loren heard from the Spirit during a time of ministry and almost everyone came forward for that touch from God

Also, as the spirit continued to move in our service, God touched one woman's back with healing and another man entered into a time of deliverance.
Anyone with a need, whether spiritual, emotional or physical can find it in God's Holy presence.

Bring-A-Friend Day & K.I.D.S. Church Open House!
It was a great day for us as we welcomed many special guests, opened up our Children's ministries, and hosted a BBQ luncheon for everyone after service.
Pastor's morning message stressed to everyone, members and guests, that when you meet God, the fruit of that encounter will show in your life. But it's up to us to stay hooked up to the vine and continue to produce fruit for the kingdom of God.

During the morning service, all of our children came upstairs and blessed us with some of their favorite praise & worship songs.
Afterwards we heard a couple testimonies from people whose lives have been so completely changed by the power of God and their relationship with Amazing Grace.
Listen to how the lives of Lalo C. and Andrea R. have changed!

Pastor Loren is continuing his series on
"The Laws of Confession"
The book of James talks about how a little tiny rudder can steer an entire ship; in the same way a little tiny thing called our tongue can steer our entire lives!

During a time of ministry many came forward. Some for healing, some for spiritual strength, some simply wanting a touch from God.
Pastor Loren cautioned us that we are living in a time when it is not safe to "let your guard down" spiritually.
Stay alert and stay hooked up to your local church!

Today was a very special day for our very special Mothers here at Amazing Grace. Pastor Loren gave us a special Mother's Day message on the Shunamite Woman and the character she exemplified. She was a woman of faith that refused to be shaken.

Pastor Loren also called all our mothers to the alter for a special gift and prayer.

Tonights Alter Call:
All those desiring a close walk with the Lord.

One of the biggest attacks of the enemy is Lethargy. That is why the Bible tells us to "stir ourselves up"!

Pastor's Exhortation to us:

Spend time with Him everyday! He loves you so much and he's already given all that He has to you. Always keep Him first in your life!

Pastor continued his message on "Laws of Confession".
"If you hang around the world long enough you'll be just like them. Listen to them long enough and you'll talk just like them".

We need to change our input
so that we can change our output!

Rev. Gary DeVoe, FCF Int'l Family Care Coordinator, was here to minister to Amazing Grace during both the morning and evening services. He spoke to us about "Living Free from Condemnation"
Many people (even Christians) never get past a failure that has been long gone and long forgiven.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda is not the way God wants us to live! Are you becoming the person God intended you to be or are you stuck somewhere in the past?

The way we overcome this area is by rehearsing our past victories and not our past failures!

Rev. Gary called up many people individually for prayer. Brother Gary is a mighty man of God and flows mightily in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He is obedient to be led by the Spirit of God to speak to His people.

Change in life is inevitable - we can't stop it.
But many people fight it!
He gave us 5 hindrances to change:
1) PRIDE - "I don't need to change, everybody else does"
2) FEAR - "I'm afraid to change"
3) REBELLION - "I don't want to change!"
4) LAZINESS - "I just don't feel like changing"
5) NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT - "I just never thought about changing"

"Casualty Covenants"
How do we enter into casualty covenants?
By the words we speak!
So often we speak things without realizing what we are saying.

Here are some excellent examples:
Have you ever heard someone say, "My grandfather and my father both were diabetic. I'm sure I will be too."
Or how about, "My family could never afford those kinds of things. I can't afford them either."

What do you think is happening when we speak like that? We're making Casualty Covenants!

During a time of ministry, Pastor Loren called several people forward as he was led by the Spirit. Afterwards he opened up the alters to all those desiring to be closer than ever to the Lord.

After ministry, Pastor continued his message on "Laws of Confession". He taught from the book of Numbers with the story of Joshua and Caleb and the report they brought back from the Promised Land. All who spoke negative died in the wilderness. Only two, Joshua and Caleb made it into the Promised Land.
What we confess about our circumstance have very real consequences!

Covenant requires Commitment.
That was Pastor Loren's message to us during the morning service.
What has happened to commitment in our society today?

Too often people make snap decisions or "casualty covenants". A casualty covenant is a covenant with the enemy and usually people are unaware they are doing it. People just don't take time to consult God before making a decision. Sometime we need to wait, pray and seek wisdom first.
"People don't make rational decisions when fear is present".

During the evening service, many came forward with areas in their life they have had difficulties overcoming; physical, emotional and spiritual.

This man refused to bring his family on a bus that would allow alcoholic beverages. He stood his ground and was blessed beyond measure!
This is a testimony you just have to hear!

Sunday, April 15, 2007
Rev. Jim Miley was here to minister during both morning and evening services and what a blessing he was!
The theme of the morning message was Courage.
"This year God wants to do the impossible in your life, but it's going to take courage on your part".
It's going to take courage to fulfill the the Word that God gives to you; He wants you to have, but you're going to have to take it! That takes effort on your part.

The evening service focused on being a Champion.
"There is no 'easy' in Christianity - to be a champion is going to take work, patience and courage!"

Champions:

  • Are positive thinkers and surround themselves with positive people
  • Get involved in something greater than themselves; they are team players
  • Visualize success
  • Are disciplined and consistent; they don't just talk a good talk, they walk a good walk
  • Are hardworking and willing to go the extra mile.

Rev. Miley had a time on ministry to all those desiring to be the champion that God has intended for them to be. Everyone came forward!
Amazing Grace is training champions for Christ!
You can be a champion for Christ, too!
Please join us!

Easter Sunday was a blessed day in every way! It included our annual Easter Sunrise Breakfast, a good ol' fashioned Easter Egg Hunt, an awesome musical performance by our K.I.D.S. Church, and a powerful Easter message by Pastor Loren Schlomer.

Our children had a blast performing the song "By His Might". Their enthusiasm spread through the entire congregation as many proud parents were ready and poised with their cameras.

Pastor Loren's Easter message was entitled
"You Can't Keep A Good Man Down" .
Jesus is alive today but in order to truly experience His full presence, we have to be willing to lay down the life that we have.
Jesus paid the full price for our sins; he took the sting of death so that we will never have to experience that. Today is a day of celebration for Christians all over the world! Jesus is alive!!

To top of our Easter Service, 2 adults and 10 children received Jesus as their Lord!
Praise God - He is Risen!!

Pastor Loren concludes his series on "Helps".
Ministry is all about people and we are all gifted to do something. God places gifts in every area of the church for the purpose of building up the local church and the Kingdom of God. We all have a part to play!

What are you doing to help build your church?

At the end of this series, Pastor Loren called up some of our church members to give their personal testimonies about helping the local church. Click on each to listen.
Vickie - Administrative Assistant
Rachel - Intercessory Prayer Leader
Kristy - Youth Director
Dan - Sound/Video/Media Leader

During a time of ministry, God ministered to many who were seeking that touch from God.

"The Laws of Confession" was the topic during the evening service. Whatever you put in abundance into your heart, that's what you're going to believe.
"We should be so full of God's Word that we would never doubt a single word of it"

Everyone's going to believe something - what do YOU believe?
